The Crane Fund
The Crane Fund eligibility** requirements:
A potential recipient of The Crane Fund will qualify to apply for assistance if one of the following circumstances apply:
Has a minimum of five (5) years of service with a Crane Company (or a subsidiary company) and is at least 57 years old or disabled while in service with Crane Company Verification is required. Contact The Crane Fund with any questions about potential eligibility
Is the widowed spouse of a former employee
Is a disabled/dependent adult child of a former employee
Is a minor dependent child of a former employee
Reasons an applicant to The Crane Fund would NOT qualify:
Has a surplus of income as based on a current income vs. expenses
Does not have the appropriate years of service at Crane Company or a subsidiary company
Does not meet the age requirement, unless disabled. (Disability must have occurred while in service with Crane Company)
Is a widow of a former employee and has now remarried and severed ties to The Crane Fund. (Widows would presumptively be entitled to their new spouse’s pension/and or assets and therefore are ineligible for Crane Fund assistance.)
Is in a permanent nursing home facility and is either in receipt of Medicaid funding or has been informed that they are above the asset limits for Medicaid. (Medicaid denial typically indicates a surplus of assets likely transferred to the children during a Medicaid lookback and disqualifies them from The Crane Fund.)
